Accessibility does vary by venue, and we publish detailed information about each theatre's wheelchair positions, accessible toilets, lift services and general accessibility on each theatre's venue page on this website.

For occasional events the seats above may change to the same seat numbers in row AA.

The remaining seats in Row BB (or AA where available) are suitable for transfer.

We can accommodate wider wheelchairs by combining two positions into one. Please contact the venue Access Champion to arrange. Please note the width of the accessible toilet door is 80cm.

Any aisle seat in Stalls can be used to transfer. Please note the Stalls is the only level with stair-free access and there is no lift in this venue.

Theatre Royal Brighton

7 wheelchair positions in the Stalls, with level access from New Road via the main entrance.

Wheelchair Positions: J26, L2, N27, Q1, Q7, R4 and R7. These all have space next to them for a companion, with a maximum width of 90cm x length 140m.

Any aisle seat in the Stalls can be used to transfer to a theatre seat, with retractable arm rests on seats E1, E17, G20, H1, L28, R1 and R10 to assist with this.

There is a slight incline in the Stalls. Stalls is the only level with stair-free access. There is no lift in the venue.

Bristol Hippodrome

4 wheelchair positions in the Stalls, each with an adjacent seat for a companion.

Level access from the accessible entrance on Denmark St.

The platform lift providing access to the auditorium is 75cm wide, 120cm long and can accommodate a total weight of up to 250kg.

There are no other seats with stair-free access. Seats in Row P on the high-numbers side of the auditorium have extra space in front and only two steps to access. Other end-of-row seats at the high-numbers side of the auditorium may also be suitable.

Boxes G and H at the back of the Stalls can be accessed using the wheelchair lift plus ramps. Please note that although these boxes can accommodate up to four seats, when there is a wheelchair being used space is limited and so we recommend a maximum of three people per box.

Circle Row B, 2 wheelchair positions. The wheelchair spaces are located on street level.

Circle positions B1 and B4 are 100cm width x 83cm length.

One companion seat is located directly next to the wheelchair space, the other companion seat is located directly behind.

There are no other stair-free seats available.

Circle A6 has two steps down and approximately 1-2m to walk in the aisle before you get to the seat (there is a handrail to the left).

Circle D2 - 2 steps Circle E2 - further 2 steps.

Manchester Palace Theatre

Circle row R, 4 wheelchair spaces.

There is an access platform lift in the foyer and a passenger lift which provides access to the Circle and Grand Tier. With use of the lifts, Row R of the Circle is level access.

Circle R 9 and R12 – 70cm wide x 106cm length.

Circle R34 and R37 – 75cm wide x 109cm length.

Circle R1, R16, R17, R30, R31 and R39 are ideal seats for a wheelchair transfer. They are level access and located on an aisle. Other seats on row R may also be suitable, however as these are not located on an aisle, a few steps may be required.

Circle Q1, Q16, Q17, Q30, Q31 and Q39 – two steps.

All seats in the Circle are considered to have limited legroom.

These can be accessed via the Russell Road entrance and platform lift.

The platform lift providing access to the auditorium is 85cm wide, 120cm long and can accommodate a total weight of up to 300kg.

Row J of the stalls is most suitable as there is a large aisle in front of the seats to enable easy ingress and egress.

Alternatively, any aisle seat in the stalls. Auditorium right is slightly closer to the platform lift, auditorium left nearer to the accessible toilet.

G27 - 60cm width x 70cm length.

H2 - 120cm width x 80cm length.

H31 - 80cm width x 80cm length.

M1 - 90cm width x 110cm length.

M28 - 60cm width x 80cm length 

N1 - 110cm width x 80cm length.

N27 - 100cm width x 110cm length.

R1 - 70cm width x 90cm length.

R18 - 100cm width x 90cm length

It is possible to transfer to any aisle seat in the stalls.

The most suitable for transfer are G27, G1, R1 and N1 as the aisle is wider.
